Maggie Keenan-Bolger is the co-founder of Honest Accomplice Theatre, a company dedicated to generating dialogue and stimulating change by focusing on topics that are often silenced or portrayed as one-dimensional, specifically through the lens of the women and trans experience (www.honest accomplice.org). Their production of The Birds and the Bees: Unabridged, a piece about female sexuality is currently touring colleges around the country. In 2012, her work in the LGBT community was recognized by the White House when she was appointed an LGBT Leader of the Next Generation by Vice President Biden. She was named a “Person to Watch In 2015” by The Advocate. Her pieces Queering History and Not Just Another Coming Out Story, were written with LGBT homeless youth who performed alongside Broadway performers. Keenan-Bolger has worked as a teaching artist with organizations such as Urban Stages, The Creative Arts Team and The Leadership Program and is a sex educator with the "I Love Female Orgasm" program, speaking to thousands of college students across the U.S.
